Mario's Picross underwent a few aesthetically fitting changes when the game was released internationally, but didn't sell very well outside of Japan. As a result, the sequel never left Japan.

  • Probably not coincidentally, Apple added the dash shell in Catalina. The Debian Almquist Shell (dash) is a minimal implementation of the Posix sh standard and commonly used on other UNIX and Unix-like systems as a stand-in for sh. Apple also added dash (but not zsh) to the Recovery system in.
  • Git's open-source system lets you learn faster from other programmers by adding and utilizing their codes. You create any branch from the main one and experiment as a separate file. You have the option to save all the codes and functions you wrote and merge them with the original branch.

Located at 0x03C010 is development-credit text. Toshiyuki Ueno is the music composer. 'mcmxciv' translates to '1994' in roman numerals. A similar string exists in the othertwo Picross games developed by Jupiter.
